Types of Roulette Betting:

The Outside Bets

An outside bet in roulette is cast outside the major playing area, which has 38 numbers. It denotes that the chance of winning bets for 00 or 0 are eliminated entirely. Take note of the following number for outside bets.

•Note of the numbers grouped into dozens and you would only make bets on the first, second, or third dozen (1-12, 13-24, and 25-36 respectively).

•There are twelve numbers column also wherein there are 38-number sets, at the end of which there is a “2 to 1” written. Each box is a part of a column so that, to win, the number you’ve placed your bet will have to show up. This is similar to the dozen bets described above.

The Inside Bets

•One Number Straight up – some people refer to this as the simplest of all roulette bets. It requires players to place their bet on any one of the 38 numbers on the table so as to get a chance to win at 35 to 1. This may look plain but can be difficult to do at times.

•The Two Numbers Split Bet is when you place your wager on two numbers lying side by side on the table. This is a bet that pays 17 to 1 if either of the number shows up. It’s done by placing your chip on the line that separates the two numbers.
